The Dark Eldar

What is everyone thinking of the dark elder? The models look fantastic and it is kinda making me think of going back to the first army I ever had. I so can't wait to see the Codex. They did really well on the models I think so far. Wonder what else they will be releasing. to go with it also. The talos was sick before wonder what it will look like now.

I already don't like the new named Wytch Elf model they made. Just from the blurb they said on GW leads me to believe she's broken if she doesnt cost a lot. She's WS 9 with 4 attacks that ignore armor and she gets an extra attack for each point of WS she beats her opponent by. WTF. If she is that powerful she better not have awesome defense. The REAL Eldar get crappier and crappier with each new codex.

WOW nick maybe these masterbating freak pirate eldar were on to something when the created slaanesh with there sins.... maybe being good just isn't enough think about it.... Be good and take it up the tail pipe or be evil have fun with a little pain and get all the stats in the world you could need.

On BOLS is says she costs around the same as a hive tyrant but think about it yeah she has tons of attacks and can hit ya but to everything but guard she is still just S3 T3 right?

I dont know her stats but thats what im saying, for that power she better be off set somehow. Doesn't to me i suppose, if they put her in a squad I'll just blast a fire prism at them: instant death. I'm just saying that each new release showcases how much out of date Eldar are getting. And wait for it....:checks watch:

4 pages on just HQ choices! (thats army list not descriptions)

item to make opponents get closer to shoot, night vision, Fleet, Hit & Run, Deep Stike, additional attacks, 36" turbo boosts, close combat skimmers & Poison are ALL OVER this codex!

I even saw a 2+ invul save!

But the best... Hellions (ones with the Green Goblin gliders) when using Hit & Run can grapple an Independent Character they are in combat with & drag him out of the unit on the run part of the "Hit & Run". Where they stop you place as many of the Hellions as possible in base with the character & this NEW combat takes place next turn.
Doesn't work on Upgrade characters, They have to have "Independent" in their profile.

Oh, did I mention there is a Pirate HQ that makes these guys Troops?

I read the codex tonight. OMG I am going dark eldar for my 2nd army. I was reading allot aloud and I could hear Nick groaning in the back ground going O why cant I have that...

It isn't gonna be a I win army. I agree with the cuban there. It took tactics to play them and that is one of the reasons I quit them 9 years ago. I wasn't good at tactics. I so want to try them again because playing Chaos space marines the last 9 years go boring.

I hear ya Josh... the miniatures do look sexy though, those raiders are sweet looking with the sails and stuff. About the rules, from what I've heard is that the army is going to be very balanced which is what we need.

well im definately excited to try DE out. they were gonna be my second army choice before orks, but people told me that i should have waited til the new codex came out. well here we are one week away. cant wait!!

ill admit they r sick models n they have the potential to be an insane army... but nick wont have to crack as many skulls as he thinks... im not jumpin on the bandwagon with this one im stivkin to my khorne for a while til my wolves r done!

Everyone cries "broken" when a new codex comes out. They did it with Tyranids, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, and now this. From the look of things the DE are balanced in the fact that their amazing offensive melee power is their lack of melee defense overall. They aint space marines where if you blow a round of combat your going to live to make it up in subsequent rounds, you have to make it count the 1st time. Welcome to the land of T3 fellas.
