Warhammer Fantasy 8th Ed. Launch Party 7/10/10

This would be an EXCELLENT time for those of you thinking of getting into Warhammer Fantasy or those of you who already play, to try out the NEW 8th Edition Rules and have some fun!!!


EVENT: Warhammer 8th Edition Launch Party

DATE: Saturday, July 10th

ENTRY: FREE!!!

TIME: 12:00pm Start Time

PRIZES: Store Credit

STRUCTURE: There will be three activities going on throughout the day:

- Activity 1: The Iron Builder Competition: Participants will have 2 hours to build as many multi-part models as they can. Models must be Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy models (cannot not use the snap-tite models from the Battle of Skull Pass or any other box). The person that builds the most models in the 2 hours will receive $50 store credit.

- Activity 2: Trial By Fire: Come in and play as many games as you want under the NEW 8th Edition rules. Games will consist of 500pt armies (at least 1 Core choice is required). Players will set up 1ft (12in.) away from each other and play TWO full turns with a 1 hour time limit. Participants will receive 1 raffle ticket for every game they play. The raffle drawing will happen at the end of the day. The winner of the drawing will receive $50 store credit.

- Activity 3: Winds of Change Mega Battle: Armies will consist of 500pts. (at least 1 Core choice is required). The mega battle will begin with 7th Edition deployment and 7th Edition rules through turn 2. Beginning with turn 3, 8th Edition rules WILL take effect. Participants will vote for their favorite player (cannot vote for themselves) at the end of the battle. The player with the most votes will receive $50 store credit.
