Fantesy Mixed Guardsman!!!

I was wondering if it might be both possible and unique if i took Bretonnian Men-At-Arms and made them into Veteran Imperial Guard Troop's. Could that work because i not only want to have multipal diffrent Guardsman regiments like Valhallan and Steel Legion but i want to make my own unit based around my backstory that i keep thinking about but need to do.

Heck i thought that i could use Death Korps of Krig Model's but i do not know about there gas mask equipment. IDK, i am just asking what you guys think?

Sounds like a cool idea. I'd want to see s proof-model to get a better idea of what you're going towards. If you needs bits, let me know - I have a pretty big collection of guard gack in my basement.
