The REAL 6th Edition rumors
Ok, so I may cried wolf in an attempt at humor before. But it would seem that 40K 6th edition is in the works for real.
Blood of Kittens rumors: 40K 6th ed.
Personally I like the "bid strategy points for 1st turn" system.
It then easily incorporates the "extras" from the expansion books into "Normal" games.
Depending on how badly you want to go first.
The inclusion of Flyer rules just makes sense with the recent production of flyer kits.
Other changes have a distinct Rogue Trader era feel too them. Like shooting vs movement
(will this mark the return of Overwatch?)
What are your thoughts?
Also, what would you like/not like to see in 6th edition?

Re: The REAL 6th Edition rumors
They may have:
If pinning weapons can affect Fearless, combined with the changes in wound allocation & "tiered" special rules, it may mean that Fearless won't be what Fearless was.
- movement impairing effects from pinning weapons even if morale check is passed (if roll is above halved Ld), Fearless not immune to this, but only effected if rolled over full Ld

Re: The REAL 6th Edition rumors
I think they are looking like they are trying to go a system similar to fatasy in movement and they are trying to make it more strategic.

6th Edition Rumors - Update
The second round of Rumors for 6th Edition are now floating out there.
BoLS Lounge 6th Ed. rumors
Local opinion is we are at least 1-2 yrs from a new Edition. The Web opinion is all over the map.
So my advice... Take this with enough salt to make Salt Potatoes inedible.

Re: The REAL 6th Edition rumors
If this is real I am amazed & terrified!
It REALLY has the feel of 40K Rogue Trader, just coherent.
Some things to keep your eye on:
Fear the FLEET!
Fleet movement: triple movement, can charge, count as moving against shooting, cannot forced surge
If the unit goes through difficult terrain it can only advance. No unit can ever go flat out or fleet through terrain.
It's Coming Right For Us!
- Return Fire:
who: (disembarked) units with Overwatch (it's back baby!)
when: unit is shot at the first time in the phase
instant effect: unit can fire rapid fire and assault weapons with a single shot at attacking unit, range 12”, resolved simultaneously, opposing unit is fearless (2) and stubborn for this purpose
lasting effect: -
Never Give Up, Never Surrender!
No retreat:
Fearless units (or units that stay in combat even if they fail their morale check) make normal morale checks after loosing a combat, if failed, can decide nonetheless to stay in close combat, but every model in base to base contact may make a single attack against unit, if a model is in base to base contact with several Fearless units that failed their test, it can make one attack against each unit
Lets look at this one a little closer
Fearless units(or units that stay in combat even if they fail their morale check)
make normal morale checks after loosing a combat, ...
if failed, can decide nonetheless to stay in close combat...
(I think I hear a 40K Hero demonstrating the New Fearless USR...)

Re: The REAL 6th Edition rumors
Wow, these rules are insane! I can not wait to see/read these rules refined and in a rule book! It sounds kinda complicated but fun and more strategic!
